Thanksgiving Gratitude

I try to be grateful throughout the year, but there are certain times of year gratitude is generally much more abundant. That time of year is now upon us; a time to reflect on all that I am thankful for; my husband, my health, my desire to continuously improve and my team that helps keep the store rockin’ and rollin’.

Here at the shop, I reflect on what makes this business fun, challenging and fulfilling and I keep coming back to our community.

Com·mu·ni·ty: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

The Austin Trail Running Company was born from an idea I had with several of my trail running friends to solve a “simple” problem: how do we connect more deeply as a group of like-minded individuals and where can we do this?

Over the last 5 years, it has not been easy. But each day, we continue to show up, host parties, events, movies and speakers. Group runs. Support races. Pop blisters. And you also keep showing up to participate, support and even pitch in to help. In a city that is changing quickly, values shifting, you continue to show-up and our tight-knit community gets stronger and more passionate.

So as we move into a chaotic time of year, we hope that you find moments of peace, enjoyment and fresh air to have small quiet moments of gratitude for yourself. Road or trail, it doesn’t matter.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Austin Trail Running Company, and thank you for being such a vital part of this community.

Happy Holidays,
