A durable multisport GPS watch with a long battery life and barometric altitude

The robust Suunto 9 is made for long, arduous training and racing and extreme adventures.

Suunto’s unique FusedTrack™ algorithm combines GPS and motion sensor data to improve track and distance accuracy. This allows you to extend battery life by lowering GPS power without significantly compromising accuracy.

The built in sensor is designed by Valencell and it is the latest version. We wouldn’t be surprised if Suunto has more biometric data available in the near future.

Three predefined battery modes – Performance, Endurance and Ultra – deliver from 25 hours up to 120 hours of recording time with GPS tracking on. Suunto 9 uses smart reminders based on your activity history to help ensure you are fully charged for your next outing.

There are multiple windows on the main dashboard of the watch that are accessible by swiping or using the buttons on the side: Settings, Timer, Logbook, Navigation, Exercise, HR (24/7), Daily Steps and Calories and weekly training hours.

Tested to the extreme with thousands of hours of real use in the toughest conditions by Suunto’s internal testing team and athletes all over the world, it is your trusted companion to confidently see you through any adventure!

  1. Jacob Neumann

This is the best watch I’ve ever owned. Ive steered clear of Suunto after hearing some of the complains of software issues, but I’m glad I finally gave it a shot. I have had every major top tier watch from Garmin and also Coros, but Suunto takes the cake. There is a bit of a learning curve in coming from any other device but after a couple days of toying with it everything is natural and smooth. The watch itself is top notch, just quality built. You really feel like it can endure anything. The GPS is spot on compared to the tracks my Garmin Fenix 5 or my Coros Apex. The elevation climbed and descended was so accurate I thought something might of been wrong because my other watches were wildly inaccurate and inconsistent. The Optical HR took about a mile to “catch up” but since the first few initial runs its been dead on. Im so very pleased with this purchase.

Hi Jacob, Thanks for the great review! I (Pam) fully agree and I love my Suunto as well. It’s a great company, they still hand assemble their watches and they are incredibly durable and accurate. I really appreciate the feedback!
